This morning, I was lucky to get into the Phase 3 times. Using a deferred approach, I set up an alarm clock to go off in 7.5 hours but ended up being completely awake in 6 hours. So, I turned the alarm clock off, reviewed my action plan and programmed myself to get into the Phase. This time, it included not only repeating the motivating words but also imagining myself being in the Phase (read it recently in Stephen LaBerge’s book).
Somehow I ended up at the edge of the mountain top again which was very handy because the first item of my action plan was to fly like a bird. For some reason, I’ve been dreaming all week about this black bird flying over the mountains and I thought that it would be cool to fly, like, inside a bird’s body, feeling its feet, wings and feathers…
Anyway, I imagined myself being a raven, having wings and claws, and jumped off the cliff. When you fly in a bird’s body, the main difference is that you can actually soar balancing on the air with your wings. It is a different feel because you are flying and actually using the wings and not only with your mind power. So, for a while I practiced waving my wings, going up, diving and soaring. This unforgettable experience eventually ended and I was out of the Phase. I am so flying in a bird’s body again!
As soon as I was out of the Phase, I tried to get back in again. I imagined myself swimming underwater using breast strokes and it worked. The swimming sensation was becoming more and more real as if I was swimming along the sandy bottom of the lake and suddenly I was in the Phase. I was standing in the corridor of what appeared to be a library with old-fashioned heavy dark-brown wooden bookcases standing along the walls. I’ve been here before. Last time it ended up being a hotel in India but today it was just an endless corridor with endless bookshelves.
The second item of my action plan for today was to open the door and see the deep space outside of it. So, I started running along the twisted corridors finding doors and opening them. But no matter how hard I tried to imagine the space and the stars outside the door, they never materialized and there was always another corridor behind the opened door.
Eventually I started being pulled out of the Phase. I struggled and managed to get back again and ended up being in the same corridors. It looked like there would be no deep space travel for me today, so I decided to open a book. Opening a book is one of the main reality checks. In the Phase, you open the book, read a sentence, close it, open again, read it and the text is never the same. For some reason, every time I do so, it makes me laugh. Not just laugh but laugh hysterically. Why it is so funny, I do not know. But when I see the different text inside the book, in the Phase, it seems very funny and I end up laughing so hard that it usually ends the experience. Sure enough, it is what happened this time. How am I supposed to get any information from the book if opening and closing it makes me dysfunctional? Will try a TV next time.
