OBE in One Day

So, you do not feel like reading the entire website but are intrigued by the idea of having your own OBE. You want to jump straight into action and try it. Then this section is for you.

The first thing you need to do is have a good uninterrupted sleep. Plan to have the OBE on the weekend and make sure you sleep well during the preceding week so that you are well rested by the time you try. Choose a weekend when you do not have to wake up early and set up the room so that nothing interrupts your sleep – dark curtains, earplugs and unplugged phones really help.

The day before the weekend, you would need to:
1. Read this page and understand what you will be doing.
2. Practice separation and indirect techniques (see below) lying down while awake. You won’t feel anything but your brain will be getting used to them.
3. Read some Phase stories for motivation and inspiration.
4. Write down your action plan, a list of things to do in the Phase. Set the following three goals:
– fly up to the ceiling
– look at yourself in the mirror
– walk through the wall

The evening before the weekend, you would need to:
1. Go to bed early. Have a calm and relaxing evening. Do not watch TV or drink any alcohol.
2. Set alarm clock to wake you up in 7 hours. Do not try anything at this point, just go to bed and have a sound sleep for 7 hours.
3. When you wake up by the alarm clock, get out of bed, drink some water, use the washroom and re-read this page. Review your plan of action. Turn off the alarm clock.
4. Fall asleep with the intention of trying to get into the Phase the next time you wake up naturally.

Because you interrupted your sleep with the alarm clock, your subsequent sleep will be shallow and you will wake up frequently. The idea is to try to get into the Phase every time you wake naturally by doing the following:
1. When you feel you are waking up, without moving your body or opening your eyes, try to separate from your physical body using one of the following separation techniques:
– Getting up
– Rolling out
– Flying up
Perform these techniques without actually moving your body. It will feel very natural. Your mind projects the intention and you start moving while your physical body is still. Your intention to separate should be strong, you should be determined to get into the Phase no matter what!
2. If you feel like you are separated, do the reality check. Fly up from where you are. If you can do it, you are in the Phase! Continue with your action plan.
3. If you did not separate right away within what feels like 5 seconds, you need to start performing one of the indirect techniques below. If you start feeling something with the technique, intensify the feeling and try to separate using one of the separation techniques. If nothing happens within what feels like 5 seconds, move on to another technique.

Indirect techniques:
– Rotation. Imagine that you are rotating around your vertical axis. Once it feels like actual rotation, try to separate.
– Phantom wiggling. Try to wiggle your arm or leg without actually moving it. Do not use muscles, just give a mental order for your arm, for example, to move up and down. When the movement starts feeling real, separate starting from the arm/leg you are waving.
– Observing images. With your eyes closed, look at the blank space before your eyes and try to see an image. If you see anything, keep looking at it but do not focus on the details. Once the image becomes more and more vivid and real, try to separate or let yourself be pulled into the image itself.

You need to try at least 3 cycles of these 3 techniques before giving up.

4. Regardless of whether the attempt was successful or not, fall asleep after it and try to get into the Phase the next time you wake up.

5. If during your sleep you suddenly realize that you are dreaming, you are in the Phase! Continue with your action plan.

The goal here is to give you a glimpse of what the Phase looks like. Once you have tried it, you may want to read this website further, share your experience with us or ask questions. Good luck!
