Today I had an interesting experience of entering the Phase which I have a hard time to classify. As we know from Raduga, we can enter the Phase when wakening up (indirect method), when falling asleep (direct method) or by becoming lucid (aware) in a dream.
Yesterday I had my action plan ready, I reviewed it before bed and reaffirmed my intention to go to the Phase tonight. The plan was to try the deferred indirect or direct method in the morning depending on the time of awakening. Instead, I turned out to just be in the Phase in the middle of the night. I have no idea what time it was. I was happy to be in the Phase as usual but completely forgot my action plan and started to follow whatever comes to mind – flying, smelling blossoming flowers, interacting with people I met… I used some deepening techniques, the quality of the Phase was pretty good, and the time there seemed to be quite long. Moreover after I was kicked out, I was able to get back in and had a second Phase experience for the night which was also not bad.
So, how do we classify something like this? Apparently it was not a lucid dreaming since I was not dreaming and then realized that I was dreaming. It was not a direct method since I was not awake before entering the Phase. So, I would say it was an indirect method of entering the Phase that happened spontaneously on one of the night”s awakenings we all have and do not remember. The quality and time of the experience indicates that we can have a quality Phase experience even in the middle of the night. The only thing is that even though it was very pleasant and vivid, it was harder to remember in details after I woke up, probably because I didn’t wake up right after it and fell back to sleep after the second experience. But I still remember most of the details!
