False Awakening

Sometimes the Phase experience is so real that it is hard to tell the difference between the Phase and the “real” life.

Because of the recent time change, I keep waking up an hour earlier which is a perfect opportunity to go back to sleep and try getting into the Phase. Today after going back to sleep in the morning, I suddenly had a weird feeling that I am in the Phase. I decided to stand up and while doing so, got stuck in my blanket and rolled over down the stairs. It even hurt! So, I convinced myself that I really woke up, laid down and went back to sleep.

Only when the alarm clock went off in the morning, I understood that I could not fall down the stairs right from my bed. I was actually in the Phase but it felt so real that I came to the logical conclusion that I was not.

With Phase experiences being so real, I’ve been thinking recently that there is not much difference between “real” life and the Phase or even regular dreams. We quickly forget the dream events. We forget the “real” life events slower but we still forget most of them over the years. Is the only difference a speed of forgetting?
